Miss Hell's Kitchen 2025

Freeda Kulo is a Mexican-American drag artist, producer, and visionary creative who has become a defining force in the evolution of New York City nightlife. Her work lives at the intersection of performance, culture, and community, blending high-impact drag artistry with thoughtful storytelling, cultural pride, and a fierce commitment to representation.

Born in La Mirada, California and raised between Mexico and the United States, Freeda carries a bicultural perspective that fuels her creative practice. Her drag is a celebration of identity and resilience—a powerful fusion of glamour, humor, political consciousness, and Latinx heritage. Known for her commanding stage presence, sharp wit, and signature aesthetic, Freeda has emerged as both a beloved performer and a respected producer, curating experiences that bring people together through joy, art, and advocacy.

Freeda’s excellence as a performer has earned her multiple titles and accolades across the drag and nightlife community. Aside from being the newly crowed as Miss Hell’s Kitchen 2025, she is the proud winner of Miss’d America 2024, Miss Paradise 2024, the last ever crowned winner of  Lady Liberty. She has been nominated for multiple GLAM Awards—including Breakthrough Artist and Best Drag Brunch and Entertainer of the Year. Recently she was honored with the “Speaking Truth to Power Award” for her work as an advocate for bipoc queer visibility and the 2025 Trail Blazer award by ALPFA (Association of Latino Professionals for America).

Her artistry has also crossed into mainstream media with appearances on Survival of the Thickest on Netflix, showcasing her impact beyond the stage.

Beyond the spotlight, Freeda Kulo is the producer and host of some of NYC’s most vibrant and inclusive nightlife experiences. Signature events like “Reinas at HUSH”, “SLAY at the Ritz,” “ICONIKA,” “Juicy,” and her award winning Drag Brunch at Kween have become staples in the city’s entertainment landscape—celebrating queer joy, centering BIPOC talent, and cultivating spaces where every guest feels seen and welcomed.

Freeda’s work is deeply rooted in community. She uses her platform to uplift queer voices, amplify HIV/AIDS awareness, and celebrate Latinx heritage with intention and pride. Whether she’s headlining a stage, producing a packed show, or speaking at community events, Freeda approaches her craft as a tool for empowerment and cultural visibility.

“Freeda Kulo is not just an entertainer—she’s a movement.

She stands at the forefront of a new era of nightlife: one that celebrates culture, uplifts community, and turns every moment into a legacy.” Get Out Mag May 2025
